Ilbagnoalessi One

2002 - 2010

Alessi - Inda - Laufen - Oras

The big news in the Alessi bathroom is the elimination of the two protruding elements generally needed to fasten the sanitaryware to the wall. The reference for these monolithic objects is definitely stone: the only operation in the project lies in the section, which Giovannoni sets parallel to the ground line. This washbasin is the first to be made in a single ceramic piece in which basin and pedestal are one. Akin to white stones smoothed by flowing water, in a highly original way these strong and communicative objects completely revolutionize the bathroom, giving it a new unitary image, with great care for each and every detail.

Despite the high cost, owing to the many special features, the collection has recorded excellent sales well beyond the marketing expectations. The project gathers around Alessi the know-how of all the major European companies in the sector; Swiss-based Laufen for the sanitaryware, the Finnish company Oras for the taps, and Italy’s Inda company for the bathroom furnishings, accessories and shower cabin.

In 2010 Alessi presented the evolution of this project, together with Lauren and Oras, adding new ceramic elements, new wooden furnishings and new taps (including a new touch-free mixer tap), thus enhancing the original project. Overall, Ilbagnoalessi includes as many as 120 objects, for one of the most complete ranges of bathroom products ever manufactured industrially.
